Our Live Christmas/Halloween Display webcam website.

This is just my family's small part of the internet We stream live video of our Christmas display as well as our Halloween display during Oct. While in the off season we stream live video of one of our Fish tanks. We also have a forum similar to this only smaller and not as well put together. We would love for everyone to become apart of that as well. The collaboration of our two site could be a wonderful thing. This year the web cam will be focused on our "Haunted home office" during Halloween and "Santa's polar experience" My wife is a HUGE penguin fan so look for alot of penguin stuff for that:) We try to change the theme each year. Well for the sake of our sanity, We have decided to begin decorating early. We have entirely to many boxes in the house now and with the new baby we have less room than last year to store them in the house. Therefore I am setting stuff up now. Thanks, I will usually have the lights on the display as well as the blood foutain and 4 foot frank all on daily at about 3 pm eastern time. But will sometimes turn them on early. they will stay on most nights until 10 pm eastern time but may stay on later also.

Just added controls. You can now turn Frankenstein on and off, as well a few of the houses! :) a little interactivity! Just keep checking back to see if the controls are Enabled! They will be offline sometimes, just check their status and you will know if you can control them or not! Hope you guys have fun with it!

So this year we have decided we want the people who enjoy our displays a chance to be involved with the displays. We would love to hear your ideas on what you would like to see this Christmas for the display. Who ever comes up with the best ideas will get to have their names placed around our display...like on a mailbox,post office or something of that nature...maybe just add your names to the nice side of santas list:)

I have some bad news to report. Last night we had a loss on the website. Our beloved Frank the inflatable has passed on. His motor has burned out and he will be out of commission for a while. I will replace him later today with a different inflatable. Hopefully we will have a new motor in time for Halloween, but we don't know for sure.

Frank is back! His transformer had shorted out last night, I replace it with one from another of our inflatables and he is back. Yes, The forum went haywire a few weeks ago and would not allow me to even upload my backups. I had to reinstall the whole thing. It was such a headache. If you would please re-register. I am feeling a bit run down, I don't know if it's just additional stress, the miserable weather, or what. I am going to take a few days off from the website and see if I can get back into the spirit. We will start the official chat nights when i get back. You guys can feel free to still have the get together if you would like. I will still have the display on running through out the day as usual. When I get back to working on the display in a few days, Frank is going to be replaced with Jack the light up pumpkin. The controls are blowing the transformers to quickly. Until i can figure out whats going on with them we will have jack:) ... the pumpkin

Picked up another CHEAP webcam today for 4 dollars! haha its a g/e minicam it actually isn't bad at all. So eventually I will have two videos up for your viewing pleasure:):confetti:

Well as promised the new webcam video is streaming. It's looking out my office window. Like i said without my ip cam I had to face some stuff towards the house. and I didn't want to take away from the rest of the stuff so it's a bit cramped there. But it's something to look at:) May try to add controls to one of those as well.dunno yet.
Edit: Also for some reason -haha the 4 dollar camera doesn't auto adjust for the outdoor lighting, Therefore I have to adjust the settings manually, If it's a cloudy/sunny day and I am not at the computer and don't adjust it the view might be a tad over/under exposed.

Yeah seems to be a pretty common thing these days. It's annoying but mostly they get no where. I have had several ips from many different countries try to hijack my website. I had 2 from China,2 or 3 from Qatar and I think one was from london.

I'm Back!!...well sort of. I am still sick as heck but it's getting better. Webcams are back up and running. I will have the controls on and off, I promise to have them on more often as I get better! Thank you guys for the kind words!!

Having some issues with webcam 2 :?:confused: so for right now until i get the situation resolved we are stuck with just webcam 1 I will however be moving from the inside display to the outside display at random. I will for sure if nothing else buy another webcam so there will be 2 for christmas. But I should have this issue resolved before halloween.:grinn:

not really fire hazard just afraid if the x10 misfires continually it could burn out the mod. havent really had the setup long enough to know what it can handle...haha and we don't need another frank on our hands:)

BIGGGGG news! We are no longer MYHOLIDAYCAM.COM We have went back to our original domain and I am now on a new faster server! :) I am going to post this in a couple places just so people don't miss it. wow you missed the display? hmmm maybe it was a browser issue? We had them on pretty much every day for a good 2 months almost. Well at any rate...just make sure you catch christmas:) it will be festive. I should state that the theme is sort of conditional at the moment...I have to find the right sort of "snow" other wise we may end up do a different theme.

Haha we use the fake snow spray for our windows that's about it, then it takes about 6 months to get it all off the windows... But for the display we use plastic pellets that work wonderfully. I am looking for movie quality snow this year though. But it also depends on our daughter because she will be crawling alot by then and I am not sure how comfortable I would feel incase some falls on the floor or something, but then again she is never left unattended...But my guess is just keep an eye out for the blizzzzzzzzzard;) it's probably going to blow in soon:)
