I can't get the tree decorating thing to work JB. I get a no-go sign when I try to drag the decorations onto the tree. :?:

I remember now, you use FireFox right?

I am sorry but, it dosent work in FF, Opera or Safari.
I've been struggle-ing with making the site as cross browser http://www.jinglebelljunction.com/smilies/smilie008.gif friendly as possible, but it's a IE world, and those other browsers just don't support some scripts.

I am sorry Merry, you'll have to use IE if you want to decorate :(

Is JBJ on the same server as ClausNet? If it is, then it might experience a similar slowdown.

Hey ya'll! I've been using my spare time lately to get Jinglebell Junction ready for next Christmas. I've been adding all kinds of new goodies and I have way more to add! I'm sure most of you have seen this animation before, but I just added it to the site and it's one of my faves!

Enjoy:

I love that! I was looking for it about two months ago and couldn't find it (granted, I wasn't looking very hard and then I was probably distracted by a light of some sort).

I can't get the Decorate the Christmas Tree activity to work. I drag the ornaments, but a no-go circle comes up and the item goes right back to the side. :?

Jinglebelle

It's because your using FireFox, Merry. :-(

Sorry, about that.

Oh, no worries then chick.

I enjoyed the 30 second "A Christmas Story". Followed it to the Angry Aliens site where there's more of them! Very funny!

Firefox has the option to open a link in a IE tab, like having 2 browsers in one

I love Firefox, only use IE once in a while, like when I want two browsers!!:)

Jinglebelle
01-13-2009, 05:26 PM
I think FF is okay, but some things don't look right in that browser. I just can't drag myself away from IE

HolidayHoney
01-13-2009, 05:29 PM
Well, I'm so new at this I wouldn't know the dif!! I turned to FF when adobe reader wouldn't work on IE....and an expert couldn't figure it out!! He told me to download FF and see what happened with it...problem fixed so I just stay with it.

Jinglebelle
01-13-2009, 05:31 PM
Yeah, it's all about what you get used to. Fire Fox is (in my opinion, sorry Tony, I gotta say it) the second best browser available. I hate change, I get used to things one way, it's hard to make me change my mind

The tried and true way is always the best. There is a lot of good stuff on JinglebellJunction....I've been exploring!

Opera is the way to go. I was stuck on IE for the longest time, but I never liked IE7 and that last security flaw prompted me to switch for good.

I love the new look JJ has. It's helped me decide what to do to CustomsOfChristmas.com. I'm changing it so I can loose the light green links. They look great on the red area but terrible on the white. I was having so much trouble trying to figure out how I'd use navigation buttons that wouldn't make my tables look bad with different screen sizes. Now I don't have to use buttons. (They did look good though.)

Thanks, Tim! I didn't think anybody had noticed yet  I been working on that new design for almost five months. I'm so picky, and I had to get it just right. After uploading it all, I realized that I am missing a few pages, but I should have it all in order soon.

I am glad I helped you decide what to do to your own site. I love being creative, and if you need any help at all, just say the word :)
