Egg nog would have to be my favourite drink at Christmas! Heck, we start buying it as soon as it hits the shelves!

I drink hot chocolate all year round so I don't really think of it as a 'Christmas' drink...

Hot apple cider is another good one, too!

Peppermint egg nog does sound good! Never seen that one before.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/AuntieMistletoe/eggnogparty.jpg I had to go with Eggnog.

:) Santa's Helper - do you have a Sobey's Grocery Store in Peterborough? Our store carried eggnog right up to Easter. I managed to grab another carton when I found out from my mom that they were still carrying it. At first, I thought it was going to be stocked all year, but it was gone the next time I went to get some. Bet whomever was in charge of that department is a Christmas lover. We should be able to pick some up near the Canadian Thanksgiving, if not - surely by the time Halloween rolls around.

I have recipes, but it doesn't taste the same to me.

Just add peppermint extract/oil and give it a good stir! Chill overnight if you have time!

I am with them!! Eggnog! I believe I think about it more than anything else. My favorite is Evan Williams Original Southern eggnog. I like mine with a kick!

But I also like it straight out of the non-kicking carton if its too early in the day. I dont recall a time in my life when I didnt like it. My grandfather used to make it homemade when it was ok to drink/eat uncooked eggs. I never had his *special* nog until I was of age but we lovingly called that adult version 'snog' because after a short glass of it thats the only thing your tongue could say...as in 'can ya pass me another glass of that ssssnog'

I really like punches my mother would make, they would have real fruit chunks in them. I've never made one like that but now I'm looking at recipes to try for Thanksgiving.

There's a local winery that makes a Christmas wine - in both white and red. The white is a bit sweeter, but both are slightly spiced and SO good. Having that at my house has become a tradition for the last five years.

I hate eggnog. There. I've said it. So thick and creamy - ugh. Just gives me the "ew" shivers thinking about it.

So thats what Christmas wine is! Thanks for letting me know! Spicy wine, sounds like it would be good at room temp.

Saw more eggnog tonight and even Pumpkin milk. Just had to walk away though, the calories and fat...

Ok, I'll shut up Erv.

Well, only three weeks until my week of vacation - Thanksgiving week - and you know what that means - stop at Tasting DeVine for some Christmas wine. I always have my first glass the week of Thanksgiving. Then I buy a bunch to bring to holiday parties, for gifts - and to drink. At $10/bottle, it's pretty reasonable - and tasty!

Got into the spirit - or should I say "spirits" bwahahaha - a week early and had my first Xmas wine last night - deelish. And bought a case - bringing some to Thanksgiving, some for Xmas, some for friends, some for parties. And some to sip at home when I start my Xmas cards - yum!

Well, I voted Hot Chocolate, but really I am a coffee guy. I do like to try the different flavored creamers (pumpkin pie spice, peppermint mocha, etc). I never really cared much for eggnog.

You should try the peppermint mocha latte at Starbucks. I got the skinny version today but it was still sooooo good. I love peppermint coffee and peppermint mocha creamer so this was the best of both worlds.

Of course Im still all about the 'nog. Those two bottles in my kitchen are calling my name already.

Goodness, I know it's as common as house flies, yet I love eggnog at Christmastime, (the classic recipe). My most favorite Starbuck's holiday drink has to be their Eggnog Latte. I've always wanted to try hot eggnog with cherry brandy. (Sounds so YUMMY...!)
